Michael Tagliere started in the real estate industry as a real estate appraiser in the Spring of 1971 when he went to work for Imperial Bank in Los Angeles, California. There he appraised all types of properties with an emphasis on income producing properties: commercial, industrial and residential income. In 1974 he accepted a position with Grant E. Bricker and Associates an independent appraisal company in Sherman Oaks, California, where he specialized in residential properties. He did all types of residential appraisals from bungalows to Beverly Hills Estates. The biggest and most challenging projects were the new development project analysis and highest and best use studies. In the mid 70's FNMA (Fannie Mae) Federal National Mortgage Association, had an approval process for residential subdivisions. He appraised the La Jolla Villas a (251) unit condominium development in La Jolla, California. The first project approved by FNMA in the United States.
Over the next four years he completed several of these projects.
In 1979 Michael started, Tagliere Company an independent appraisal firm located in Northridge, California. His specialty continued with residential properties. In additional to the appraisals for Fair Market Value, he became an expert in the field of before and after evaluations due to catastrophic events: flood, fire, earthquake, etc. At that time he also began teaching Real Estate Appraisal in the California Community College System.
After many years of contemplating getting a brokers license, in 1995 he finally did. He found that his knowledge of real estate through his appraisal back ground was the perfect training for a successful career as a real estate broker. His attention to detail coupled with keeping his clients best interest in mind was a win win for both client and broker. He continues to place his emphasis on service and to treat his clients the way he and his family would want to be treated.
In 1999 Michael, Guy Arnone and Glenn Smith, opened the Fred Sands of Valencia office in Valencia, California. Together they made Fred Sands of Valencia one of Santa Clarita Valley's most prestigious and successful brokerages. In the spring of 2006, they had an opportunity to become Vintage Sotheby's International Realty. Becoming part of the Sotheby's International Realty network has complemented their philosophy of doing business. Michael prides himself on working primarily by referral and devotes his time and energy on his family, clients and the agents that help make his business a success.
Michael has been married to his wife Shirley for 37 years and together they have three children and five beautiful grandchildren.
